SEA HER SURF ANNOUNCES INAUGURAL
WOMEN'S SURF COMPETITION

Central Florida's Premier All-Women Surf Contest
Comes to Cocoa Beach on August 29, 2026

COCOA BEACH, Fla., June 2026 — Central Florida Women Surfing (CFLWS), a grassroots community of more than 2,700 members, is proud to announce Sea Her Surf, its inaugural women’s surf competition set for Saturday, August 29, 2026 at Lori Wilson Park in Cocoa Beach, Florida. The event celebrates women surfers of all ages and skill levels, from young groms to seasoned legends, and marks a milestone moment for the women’s surf community along Florida’s Space Coast.

About Sea Her Surf
Sea Her Surf is more than a competition — it is a celebration of sisterhood, strength, and the sea. The event’s mission is to uplift and celebrate all women who surf, creating a space where every surfer, whether a first-time competitor or a seasoned rider, feels seen and supported. The contest honors both competitive spirit and the generosity of good sportswomanship, fostering lasting connections rooted in community and the stoke of surfing.

Competition Divisions
Sea Her Surf features an expansive roster of divisions designed so that every woman and girl has a place in the lineup:

  • Keikis Push In (Girls 10 and Under)
  • Grrrls Shortboard & Longboard (Girls 14 and Under)
  • Wahines Shortboard & Longboard (Jr. Women 15–18)
  • Saltwater Sisters Shortboard & Longboard (Women 19–29)
  • Sirens Shortboard & Longboard (Women 30–39)
  • Chicas Shortboard & Longboard (Women 40+)
  • Sea Queens Shortboard & Longboard (Women 50+)
  • Legends Shortboard & Longboard (Women 60+)
  • Wonder Women Open Adaptive (Open to all Women and Girls)
  • Paddle Babes Open SUP Surf (Open to all Women and Girls)
  • Mermaids Open Bodyboard (Open to all Women and Girls)
  • White Water Warriors (Novice Girls, Teens & Women — Shortboard & Longboard)

About Central Florida Women Surfing
Founded as a way for women to find surf partners and build confidence in the water, CFLWS has grown into a vibrant network of over 2,700 members across Central Florida. The community is rooted in encouragement, inclusivity, and respect for the ocean, creating opportunities for women to show up authentically — whether paddling out for the first time or charging waves with confidence. Through meet-ups, events, and now Sea Her Surf, CFLWS continues to strengthen connections between women surfers while cultivating a supportive culture that extends far beyond the shoreline.
